Bible Study for the Day: Deuteronomy 12-13
Today, just as in the time of Deuteronomy, we are tempted away from our God by other gods. Perhaps these are not the idols of ancient peoples, but the idols of our age are just as false as the idols of the age that the Israelites found themselves in. Perhaps, the idols of our age are more insidious because they are not always so obvious, and because of that fact they are so much more able to tempt us astray from the way we know we should follow in Christ. Bible Study for the Day: Deuteronomy 10:12-11:32
The testimony of Deuteronomy 10:12-22 could be seen to apply to us as certainly today is it did to the Israelites as they waited to enter the Promised Land. Of course, our perspective is different as we look on the Word of God through Moses through the lens of our promise of salvation fulfilled, but the essence of God’s command toward us is the same.
