CyberStones: Satire as a means to reforming the LCMS?
I thought this was really, really funny… And a sad too.
News
Pajamas Media: Islamic fundamentalists take Mogadishu.
A defeat in a forgotten front in the conflict with Islamic fundamentalism could translate into another Taliban in ten years. Let us not forget that Sudan, Osama bin Laden’s old haunt, is just Ethiopia away.
Commentary
BlackFive: Not all threats in Iraq carry AK-47s and RPGs
After all, they’re just deadly desert spiders. Well, maybe they do…
Michael Yon: An informed view on Haditha
Marc Cooper via Pajamas Media: A view from the other side of the Border
As with most national political crisis, the border security and immigration issue is not so cut and dried as some might like to think.
Outside the Beltway via Pajamas Media: Ann Coulter strikes again
As some of you might have noticed, I fancy myself a political conservative, and as a result I consider myself something of a champion of the conservative political cause. It may surprise some of you, then, to discover that I really, really don’t like Ann Coulter, precisely for the reasons revealed in the linked article.
Basically put, right or wrong, how does Ann Coulter’s comments about the 9-11 widows who are against the Bush administration and the war advance the conservative cause one bit? The answer is that her comments rarely do. Instead, they continue to contribute to the polarization and the divisiveness that prevents dedicated conservatives like myself from being able to effectively make our cases.
