Bible Study for the Day: Judges 19

The depravity of evil men knows no bounds. That is what the story of the Levite and his concubine shows us. Indeed, when men deny God, they deny God’s law, and it is only by fulfilling the law that any good can be done. The depravity of the time of the Judges is really no different than the depravity of our own time. Sinful men commit sinful deeds, whatever their kind, because they are separated from God’s grace and therefore God’s goodness. Continue reading

World Watch Focus: Seeing Is Believing

The constant drone of negative media reporting on Iraq cannot help but leave most people feeling pessimistic on the long-term success in that country. Even President Bush can sometimes succumb that same pessimism, not matter how much he may believe in the mission he started in Iraq, so because of that risk, President Bush went to Iraq to see the state of affairs there himself.
