1 Samuel 9:1-10:16

God hears our prayers, and He uses our supplications to Him for His own good purpose and will. Previously, we learned that the people rebelled against God by rejecting His established order of priests and judges and demanding a king, yet God chose to use this sinful demand to further His Kingdom and His plan of salvation.

That reality is the true meaning of ‘all things work together’ [ Romans 8:28], that is God’s Will is always done, even when His Will is challenged by our own sinful or misguided actions. Even when we are acting against God’s purpose, He uses those actions to further His work and the furtherance of His Kingdom.
