God’s will always comes to pass, and so it did with Saul. Saul had been selected by God as His chosen ruler when Israel demanded a king, and just as Israel rebelled against God by rejecting His rulership through priests and judges, so Saul rebelled against God by ignoring His commands and doing his own will through pride and arrogance.
