     A hope for peace or a prelude to war? Who actually believes that Hezbollah will be disarmed and reorganized by the Lebanese Army and an UN peacekeeping force headed by the French? This is a recipe for long-term disaster.

Commentary

Black Five: A thought about pursuing war

     A thought provoking virtual debate about the nature of war and our pursuit of it. this debate is not for the faint of heart or the easily offended, but it is worth considering. For the record, I agree with the conclusion.

Black Five: What? Tapping the phone calls of terrorists prevents terrorism?

     What? Who would have thought that an active, well thought out program to monitor the phone calls of know and suspected terrorists might actually prevent them from committing acts of terrorism?

     Here’s the question for all of those civil libertarians who react with revulsion to such a program: How do we stop them if not this way?

     Obviously, this program needs to be expanded to the rest of the services, Americorps and the Peace Corp.
