20070605 Forty Years Ago Today

The Six-Day War began. I believe that this conflict, more than any other single event in the history of the modern Near East, helps define the current crises that plague the entire region, simply because it set the stage for so much of what has followed.

Here are a few links to various sources of information about this historic conflict:

The Arab News– Predictably biased, but also expected.

BBC News one and two

Google News– The entire Google News listing for articles about the Six-Day War.

Power Line

Wikipedia– Warning: this is the most biased Wikipedia article I have ever read.
