63 years ago today, hundreds of thousands of Allied troops under the command of General Dwight D Eisenhower stormed the beaches of Normandy, France to open the Allied push to end World War Two. The sacrifice made by the men who engaged in that battle that day served as a bulwark against the threat the Nazis posed to the entire world.

The Greatest Generation, exemplified by those who served at Normandy, serves as an example to a modern generation faced with threats from people who would destroy our way of life. I pray that the sacrifice made 63 years ago motivates us today to continue the fight against those threats so that future generations have a chance to remember.

It is nice to see you have returned from the dead during the last month.

True, though unfortunately, just in time to return to the dead for a couple of more weeks.
