What happened?

I typically avoid talking about personal things on this weblog; however, for the interest of sating the curious, I will let everyone know what I have been up to for the past few months.

First, I was a full-time student at Sinclair Community College, simultaneously completing the requirements for an associate’s degree in Creative Writing from that school and an associate’s degree in Electronic Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force. Yes, that means that means that 17 years and more than 300 quarter credit hours later, I now have two associate’s degrees.

Second, at Sinclair I also worked for the Clarion, the college’s newspaper, as a news editor, writing articles, editing articles, and planning for the paper’s upcoming online edition. In the coming year, I will work for the Clarion as the online editor for the online edition’s launch.

Third, I have continued a variety of other projects other than Worldview, including trying to revamp dennis.hitzeman.com, submitting a short story for competition and publication, working on a novel, developing my drawing portfolio, and other sundries.

What does all of this have to do with Worldview? A lot actually. During this time, I have also redeveloped my approach to writing here. Hopefully, in the next several weeks, that process will be revealed.

Stay tuned,
