Worldview Item of the Day
You will not see stories about people like Iraqi Army Major Fakhir Ibrahim Mohammad in the mainstream media simply because he is proof that the Iraqis are succeeding at taking over the security of their own country. Some people—people who have actually spent quite a bit of time in Iraq and actually know what is going on there—predict that Iraq has already been won because of people like Major Mohammad.
Which begs a present question: which political rhetoric here at home is more to the point? Is the rhetoric of “stay the course until the job is done” better? Or are we better off with “let’s quit whatever the circumstances on the ground might be”?
By the grace of God, we have stayed the course so far, and that commitment is paying dividends. The question in front of us now is whether we will continue what we started until it is finished.
