WiFi for free

Today is the tenth day since my wife and I shut down our home internet service in favor of using the free service we have available at our respective colleges and through various places in our area. In addition to being an interesting experiment, it is also an incredible money saver (we had DSL, so we were paying for a phone line we never used as well). So far, the experiment has been going well, although I find the connection at my school to be a little bit sporadic and slow (it’s the first week; things usually improve after that).

Because I am using free internet, I figured that I would start a page here on Worldview dedicated to identifying places I go that have free WiFi. Maybe if enough people stop paying for expensive internet service, the service providers will figure out that they charge too much. In the mean time, have fun being frugal.
