Due to an unprecedented level of registration spam and the ongoing threat of several different exploits of the Wordpress software that runs this weblog, I am in the process of purging the user database of unknown or unresponsive user names.
What does this mean for you?
I know who my core group of users are, so those accounts that I recognize, I will not delete.
If you want to remain a registered user and are concerned that I might delete your account, please simply comment on this message or contact me at dlhitzeman at hitzeman dot com to let me know your user name so I do not delete it.
If you want to delete your account and for some reason I do not delete it, please let me know.
Thanks,
DLH

Calm down, everybody. Those of you who had accounts still have them, and those of you who never had accounts still don’t. I’ll let you figure out who is who.

Dang, Wade! A trifle overzealous? Don’t delete me either, female dog-san!
DL, does this mean we’ll actually have to log on in the future?

I think zealous is Wade’s middle name, but I’ll let him have it because he’s been a great friend and mentor.
At some point in the future, there may be some things that require users to log on to access, but most of the site will still be open and require no passwords.
