Today begins the thirty days known to many writers as National Novel Writing Month, “a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing November 1. The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30″.

I first attempted to participate in NaNoWriMo in 2007 and failed miserably. Now, I’m back for my second try, starting with the 2,000 words I just finished writing. You can follow my progress in this year’s even here, and I hope to have the capability to post my progress on Worldview soon for the perusal of registered users.

Here’s to thirty days of novel writing madness!
