In Zephaniah 3:1-7, God promises to preserve among His people a remnant faithful to Him. From that remnant, He promises to send His salvation. Many people tire of reading the Old Testament, especially the prophets, because of the constantly depressing message of God’s judgment. It is not usually a good practice to take verses, especially parts of them, out of context, however Zephaniah 1:14b strikes me as perhaps the summary of all of the prophets in a single verse.
