Leviticus 6:8-7:38

God thinks of everything. Moses’ brother Aaron and his sons were consecrated by God as the priests of Israel. As a result, they were unable to do many of the things required by the peoples of their day to earn a living, but God already thought of that.

He provided for His holy priesthood by giving them a portion of the sacrifices the people were to bring before God. In that way, the priests could remain consecrated to their task of serving God without fear of want.

If God had those kinds of answers for His holy priesthood of long ago, how much more so does He have the same answers for His people in Christ, whom he calls a royal priesthood of believers? This certainty is the benefit of faith for all who believe. So, the next time we want to worry about the bills or some other of life’s uncertainties, remember that God has already provided an answer. It may not be as clear as God’s command for ensuring that the priests were fed, but it is still there. We just need to see it for what it is.
