Bible Study for the Day: Mark 14:1-25

The woman who anointed Jesus that day in Bethany did so out of love for her Savior. While I cannot prove such a thing, one might imagine that, inspired by the Holy Spirit, she understood what Jesus had already preached about His death and resurrection. Bible Study for the Day: Mark 13:1-23

Jesus’ disciples wanted to know what the signs of the terrible disasters that would befall Jerusalem and the Jews that Jesus had prophesied would be. Perhaps they wanted to know how they would know when it was time to cut and run. Keep in mind that, even at that late date in Jesus’ ministry, many of those following Jesus still believe He had come to restore the earthly kingdom of David. What Jesus told them in response was that many things would happen to both His followers and to the Jews, but even then the end had not yet come. Continue reading
