       I’m not so sure this is a good thing, but India has joined the ranks of countries developing supersonic combustion RAMJET, or SCRAMJET, technology.
         Superficially, this technology allows for the development of faster, lighter, and more reliable space launch vehicles. The problem is that this technology also allows for the development of more capable and sophisticated ballistic and guided missiles, a fact made more relevant by India’s possession of nuclear weapons.
         However, new technology is new technology, and perhaps India’s entry into this new sector of development will be an incentive for the US to take its own space program more seriously.
