Mark 8:1-26

In Mark 8:18-21, Jesus admonishes His disciples because they are more concerned about whether they have enough bread than the teachings of Jesus. Jesus seeks to remind them that they should not worry about what they will eat, because Jesus himself provides for their work in service of the Kingdom.

Indeed, Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:25-34 not to worry at all, but rather to seek first the Kingdom of God. If we are working for the Kingdom, sharing the Gospel and encouraging our fellow Christians, keeping ourselves in the Word and our eyes focused on Heaven, then from those things God’s blessings can flow to us, providing us with what we need to continue working for the Kingdom.
