Mark 9:30-50

     The struggle of our life of faith is against sin. While we are redeemed by Jesus and set upon a sanctified path by faith, the devil, the world, and our own sinful flesh struggle against us to take away our life-giving faith.

     This struggle is what forms the core of sanctification, the constant work of our faithful hearts against a world that wants to deny our faith. For this reason, God puts into our lives work for the service of His kingdom, that we might always fix our eyes on our goal. When we focus on that goal, and on the path that leads us there, we help preserve our faith against the struggle we face everyday.

 

     This post is the last post from the Book of Mark until 14 May. In the interim, we will study the Book of Deuteronomy per the plan we are following.
