Judges 14-15

Sampson was an amazing man, not because he accomplished things in His own right, but because he accomplished the things that God placed in his path as the works of God’s will. In Sampson’s life, we can see the lesson of the same good works that God would have us do.

These works are not the product of some righteousness on our part, rather they are the gift of a gracious God who has brought us to faith in His son by His word, and who now, through the works He prepared before the beginning of time, strengthens us in our faith and gives us the opportunity to witness to His grace.

Therefore, each of us, as we grow in our faith, must constantly be on the lookout for those opportunities God has created on our behalf. These are not random, unrelated events, but rather God’s plan for us as the workers in His kingdom on earth. It is those works, created especially for us because of faith, which will be credited to us as righteousness.
