Do you have ideas that are just lacking in support to make them happen? It turns out, you might have a chance to find that support through an interesting initiative by the federal General Services Administration called Challenge.gov. The site currently lists over 70 different challenge opportunities listed by various government agencies to provide new and innovative solutions to current problems. The challenges offer prizes from official recognition of the winning ideas to millions of dollars to support development of those ideas.
This seems like a great opportunity for citizens to participate directly in the activities of the executive branch, something that rarely exists otherwise. I’ll be interested to hear feedback from anyone who decides to participate.
