20060718 Bible Study for the Day: 1 Samuel 29-30
Once again, God’s guiding hand steers David toward God’s ultimate destiny for him. Instead of riding out with the Philistines as a traitor to Israel, he is turned away and does not engage in battle against Israel. Because of that, he is able to reclaim the losses inflicted on his people by the Amalekite raid on his city, then his fairness and generosity ingratiated him to both his followers and the leaders of Judah.
