20060911 Bible Study for the Day: Psalm 55
Psalm 55 is a prayer against the enemies of the writer, King David of Israel. In a way, this psalm is a complaint, an indictment against someone who seems to have deeply wronged David by treachery. In life, many of us have felt the sting of a similar complaint, believing that someone has betrayed us in some irrevocable way. 20060911 A Solemn Promise to Remember
Today marks the fifth anniversary of a day that changed the course of American and world history for decades, perhaps centuries, to come. The radio, TV, print, and internet media will be full of retellings of the tragic events that took place in New York City, Washington DC, and over Eastern Pennsylvania, and rightly they should be. We cannot forget what happened to American on the 11th of September 2001 because that was the day a certain innocence was forever taken away from our great nation. Continue reading
