Deuteronomy 18:15-16 is not just a promise of the prophets that Israel was to later see, it was also a prophecy of the coming of the Christ. The truth of Moses teaching, by the divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit, is that the law of the land of Israel was God’s Word, and that Word would be spoken to the people by prophetic vision through His chosen men who were the forerunners of the Word to come.

In the ongoing debate about the issue of illegal immigration and border security, a constant refrain from all sides of the political spectrum has been the suggestion that the problem can be solved by militarizing the borders. This concept has been fielded by politicians, pundits, and average Americans alike. This concept is also wrong, immoral, and unjust.
