Americans are ‘weary of war’ according to a recent speech by President Bush. While many Americans might agree with such a sentiment, a few might ask, ‘What exactly are Americans weary of?’ With the reality that less than one percent of the current US population serves in the military in any capacity and that the current US military involvement in Afghanistan and Iraq, along with the US Military’s other areas of active military operations, have had virtually no effect of daily life of the average American, one is left to wonder what exactly Americans might be tired of.
