Mark 11:1-19

Jesus enters Jerusalem triumphantly, hailed by the people who lined the way as their coming savior and king. Undoubtedly, not even a week later, some of these very same people were standing in Pilate’s court shouting for the same Jesus to be crucified.

And, Jesus died for them, not because of their will, but because that was what Jesus had been sent to do. Jesus, rightly hailed king of the Jews, died on behalf of not only those Jews but all of us who believe in the power of His Gospel.
